Street Smart

Decided one pair over overalls just wasn't enough. The thing I like about these ones is they fit on my waist and legs just like skinny jeans would unlike a lot of what else is out there right now.
A few of my friends recently commented that my style has been very "street" recently. One person even refered to me as "streetwear dani", haha. Anyways I was kinda horrified by this because I feel like "street" is synonymous with "ghetto". But there's no denying that fashion trends have strayed far from the girly and bohemian look that was so popular and gone more into a streetwear direction. I will admit I have been indulging in this casual urban look a bit too much lately and here's another example of it!

Still Summer

Well technically it is fall, but it sure doesn't feel like it in LA! I've been dying to wear my fur coat and layer up. But alas here in sunny California it's as warm as ever. Guess I'm stuck wear sundress for a little longer! This is dress is one of my summer favorites. super loose & frumpy, just the way I like it! I love the orange embroidery details.

Floral Bomber

Bomber jackets are huge for this fall. I was walking around the adorable boutiques in Los Feliz when I saw this painted floral print jacket and had to get it! I'm normally such s bargain girl and will only buy clothes that are deeply discounted or second hand, but I simply needed this jacket. It's made by a really cool brand out of Australia called Somedays Lovin'. I swear all the Aussie brands are killing it right now! I paired this jacket with a velvet turban from sports girl (another aussie brand), a lace cropped top from free people, mullet skirt from urban, & wedge Jeffrey Campbells.

Summer in the City

Recently scored this Free People skirt at buffalo exchange for $30! A maxi skirt made of velvet & silk?!  I'm in love. I paired it with this top crop from Urban & Dolce Vida sandals.  I've been so into the whole mid drift bearing trend. Perfect for a hot summer in Los Angeles. Free People is definitely one of my all time favorites. Last week I went to a Free People party in Hollywood. It's crazy how often they have fashion events in LA.

City Daze

Free People is one of my favorite brands! I was recently contacted by their blogger outreach and they were kind enough to send me this dress and necklace! I absolutely love them. The dress is so comfortable and perfect for summer. It's a nice long length, but still playful with the crochet cut-outs. You can get them here:

I've been loving life in LA so far. There is such a creative vibe here. It's been very inspiring. Everywhere I go I see amazing outfits, It's pretty intimidating. It makes me feel like I need to up my game! One of the awesome things of living in a city like this is the motivation you get to strive for bigger things. Everyone around you is pursuing their dreams.

Photographing Suzi

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph my gorgeous friend Suzi Jacobs.
Suzi does photography and she had asked if I was interested in doing a photo shoot with her, I agreed if I could take some pictures of her too! I have been wanting to practice photography and this was the perfect opportunity. We met up for some coffee on saturday afternoon and then started shooting. I love having creative friends I can do this with! Below are some of the photos I took of her along with some nature photos I took recently. The photo story tuned out to be so sweet & dreamy. And how adorable is her outfit? My favorite part is how she layered her socks and boots. I need to get some tall socks and rock this look myself! I'll be uploading her photos of me on my blog soon!

Flower Child Wardrobe Styling

______________________

Here is another MG Taylor photo shoot I did wardrobe styling and art direction for.
I did a hand full of "decade" inspired shoots for them. This one is 1970's themed.
I got to dress my lovely model Lea in a such fun and colorful wardrobe!
I used new & vintage pieces in these looks. Many of the pieces are from one of my very favorite brands Free People.

I am already looking forward to spring! I miss wearing flowy dresses and dressing like a hippy.
This look is too perfect for Coachella! They just released the lineup and it's incredible. I just might have to go this year.......
