Below are some photos from a photoshoot I directed & styled for a client. The theme was patterns! This shoot showcases some really great prints. One thing I really focused on is how to mix and match different patterns. This can be pretty tricky and times, but when done well is a killer look. Don't be afraid to mix is all, weather it be dots, floral, stripes, or animal print. I think the key to successfully pulling of this look is a unifying color story. If you look at the outfit I paired below you will notice that even though the pattern's are very different, the similar color palate bring them together. Now go try it for yourself!

Photographing Ashley
This is miss Ashley. One of my dear friends who happens to be drop dead gorgeous! She does modeling professionally if you couldn't tell! This past saturday she let me dress her up and take some photos! I'm a huge fan of this dreamy romantic look. Below are some of the photos we captured. I really like how they turned out, hope you do too!

Little Black Dress
Every girl needs a lovely little black dress. I have quite a few, but this is my fancy one! When I go out dancing with friends I like to wear more classy outfits. I hate all those super tight and trashy looking club dresses! I'd rather look sophisticated than sexy. I love the embroidery detailing on the top.
Lately I have been working full-time from home and just trying to figure out my game plan on moving to LA. I'm hoping to be there by July! I have been visiting often and love life in the city. Next week I'm going up there with some friends for a girls weekend! I'm going to try and remember to bring my camera and snap some fun shots :)

To The Telescope
Last weekend I went with some friends to an "insatmeet" in LA at the Griffith Observatory. You may be asking yourself "what on earth is an instameet?", as was I. My friend Chuck who invited me is an insta-addtict, and has quite the following. It's basically a planned meet-up event for Instagram enthusiast where we chit chat and take pictures. Before I attended this event I thought I was quite the enthusiast, but not compared to these people! It was like and "insta-cult". So much fun though! Chuck also brought his professional camera and snapped some of these shots. Check out his feed @rollerodyssey!
I am headed off to Coachella today and I am beyond excited! It's like every band I've ever loved is teaming together. I've been planning my outfits all week. When I get back I'll have some fun outfit posts on my Coachella ensembles :)

Cat's Meow
________________________________
So this sweater is my new favorite thing ever. It's just too much and I love it. So funny what a huge trend cats have become. I layered the sweater with a white button up and corduroy skirt.
I paired some lace up boots and socks to give it a playful schoolgirl look.

Star Studded
__________________________
Found this little gem at Buffalo Exchange (Yes, one of my favorite places) on sale for $9! Complete with metal collar embellishments and covered in star shaped studs. Such a fun and unique dress. I'm not sure what you would call this detached collar, but I am loving this trend.
Check out one my my recent blog post featuring another star spangled look and some other starry trends I gathered together-

Girly Meets Edgy
___________________________
Oh how I love Mullet skirts, feminine & funky.
Lately I have been obsessed with a "girly meets edgy" style,
I think this outfit is a good example of that.
This next week I will be on a work trip in Las Vegas for Magic Trade show. One of the words biggest fashion trade shows. I'm so excited! I'm being sent there to gather inspiration for my designs. I get to take a sneak peak into what is going to be hot the next couple seasons. I'm going to try and secretly snap a few shots and share what I saw with you guys :)

Classy Casual
_____________________
This look I did for Coast to Coast Challenge's "classy casual" Instagram challenge.
When I saw this tee in fell in love. The peplum is a wonderful way to dress up a t-shirt.
As a t-shirt designer I'm always on the hunt for good basic tees. I plan on doing a similar style for Jedidiah soon. So excited!
